Accurate Genotyping of Carbapenemase-Producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE)
The Cica Geneus Carbapenemase Genotype Detection KIT2 is a high-precision, research-grade multiplex PCR kit designed to detect six major carbapenemase genotypes in Enterobacteriaceae. Developed in collaboration with Hiroshima University, this kit enables laboratories and research teams to rapidly identify resistant strains, including stealth-type CRE (Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae), which are often undetectable by conventional drug sensitivity tests.
Dual Multiplex PCR Design Two reaction mixtures increase precision and enable subtype differentiation.
Fast Results Complete genotyping in approximately 3 hours using standard thermal cyclers.
Simple Interpretation Band sizes are unique to each gene (e.g., 798 bp for KPC, 442 bp for OXA-48), enabling easy detection via agarose gel electrophoresis.
Research Validated Co-developed with experts at Hiroshima University, with built-in positive controls for each run.
Ideal for AMR Surveillance Supports national and institutional antimicrobial resistance monitoring strategies.
