For detection of protein on electrophoresis
Rapid FluoroStain KANTO, utilizing a newly developed fluoro-compound, is an excellent reagent to detect proteins separated by SDS-PAGE or 2D-gel electrophoresis. Not only is the detection limit as low as of silver staining (sub-ng order), but the detection time is as short as of CBB staining (about 1 hour). In addition, proteins can be separated even in the presence of the reagent in the running buffer, which can reduce the total time for detection. (Note: a fluorescent detector/scanner is required to detect proteins.)
